A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Afemai Community in America (ACA), a gathering of a People rich in history and culture. ACA is an organization committed to unity, friendship, and to promoting a sense of family values among its members. Our mission as an organization is to act as a support unit for our people.

This organization has grown in strength over the years from its inception in the early eighties. Thanks in a great measure to the foresight and vision of great people of Afemai who have kept this dream and organization alive over the years.

My commitment and desire to serve is born of the feeling that leadership begins with the natural feeling that one wants to serve. And that conscious choice brings one to aspire to lead. The true service manifests itself in the care taken by the servant, first to make sure that other people's highest priority needs are being served. My hope is that we are meeting the desires of our people.

Let me thank all you faithful co-laborers for the confidence reposed in me to lead. I wish to pay tribute to the great and wonderful leaders before me who sacrificed for a better Afemai. I thank God for their lives. We as a community are forever grateful for your labor of love, and we salute you.

ACA has come a long way. We have overcome many challenges, and our best moments are yet to come. One man cannot undertake this task alone. Our success undoubtedly rests on collective efforts. We can move mountains when we are united. My pledge to you always is to be forthright, purposeful, and committed to the causes and issues that united us. Working fervently together, we shall not fail.
